Understanding Content States

Every piece of content in your project moves through three distinct states:

Staged
Staged

Content that has been collected but not yet processed. This includes:

  • Files uploaded manually
  • Content scraped from data sources
  • Raw images and documents

Next step: Ready for transformation or processing

Processed
Processed

Content that has been transformed and is ready for distribution:

  • Images with proper aspect ratios
  • Generated captions
  • Optimized for social media

Next step: Ready for automated posting

Distributed
Distributed

Content that has been successfully posted to social media:

  • Published to Instagram
  • Posted with captions and hashtags
  • Engagement tracking available

Status: Mission accomplished!

Data Sources

Data sources automatically collect content for your projects. Think of them as your content gathering assistants.

Types of Data Sources:
  • API Requests: Connect to external APIs (like OpenAI for image generation)
  • Web Screenshots: Capture screenshots of websites automatically
  • Text Scraping: Extract text content from web pages
How They Work:
  • Set up once with your target URLs or API endpoints
  • Configure frequency (6 hours, daily, weekly, etc.)
  • Content automatically appears in your project as Staged
Pro Tip: Start with a simple web screenshot data source to see how the system works before setting up complex API integrations.

Automated Transformations

Transformations automatically process your Staged content into Processed content ready for posting.

Transformation Types:
  • Text to Text: Rewrite, summarize, or enhance text content
  • Image to Text: Generate captions from images using AI
  • Text to Image: Create images from text descriptions
  • Image to Image: Modify or enhance existing images
Common Use Cases:
  • Generate Instagram captions from product images
  • Create social media posts from blog content
  • Resize images for different platforms
  • Add branded elements to images
Example: Upload a product photo → AI generates an engaging caption → Image gets resized for Instagram → Ready for posting!

Automated Posting

Automated posting takes your Processed content and publishes it to your connected social media accounts on schedule.

Setup Requirements:
  • Connect your Instagram account via Integrations
  • Select which project to post from
  • Choose posting frequency and times
  • Set caption style and hashtags
Scheduling Options:
  • Daily: Post every day at specified times
  • Weekly: Post on specific days of the week
  • Monthly: Post on specific dates each month
  • Custom: Advanced scheduling rules
Important: Only Processed content will be posted. Make sure your transformations are working correctly!
